2009 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
This wine has a pretty deep ruby color with aromas of black cherry, cola and hints of spice and a bit of alcoholic heat. On the palate it has a medium weight with a lovely silkiness in the mouth and soft tannins. It tasted a bit like a black cherry and vanilla cream soda. The silky weight was very enjoyable and the acidity and tannins lent a nice structure. I would have liked to not feel the alcohol so prominently in the wine (it is listed at 13.5% ABV but felt more apparent), but otherwise found it quite enjoyable to drink. August 14, 2011
