Bien Nacido Vineyard
In many ways, Bien Nacido Vineyard’s path runs parallel to Villa Mt. Eden’s own story, as the vineyard also traces back to the mid-1800s, and was part of a land grant from the governor of Alta California. Today, Bien Nacido Vineyard is one of the preeminent family-owned vineyards in California. It consists of 600 acres, 200 of which are planted to Pinot Noir. The Miller Family, a fifth generation California farming family, has owned the vineyard for more than 40 years. While one of the larger vineyards in Santa Maria Valley, their reputation for quality stems in large part from their commitment to custom farming, working alongside winemakers to farm each vineyard segment to unique specifications.
