Sonoma Coast

The Sonoma Coast extends the length of California coastline between Marin County in the south and Mendocino in the north. It is one of the largest appellations in Sonoma County and encompasses some smaller AVAs like Russian River Valley and Chalk Hill. With nearly 750 square miles of territory within this AVA, the uniting factor is its climate. Known for its cool climate and high rainfall as well as its warm and sunny days, the Sonoma Coast has quickly gained a reputation for producing high quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
